Forgiveness

 

Asking God to forgive you and for

the ability to forgive others

Repent

Almighty Father,

I admit that we are all sinners and

I am here to confess our sins to you.

I am here to ask you to please forgive us of our sins

and any generational sins that have been passed

down to us from our mother

or father side of our family

As your word says in

Psalm 32:5 (NLT - New Living Translation)

5. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you

and stopped trying to hide my guilt.

I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion

to the Lord.” 

In Jesus name I pray

 

Almighty Father,

I come before you to confess

our sins because your word says

that if we confess our sins,

you will be faithful and just

and you promise to forgive our sins

and cleanse us from all unrighteousness

As your word says in

1st John 1: 9 (New King James Version)

9. If we confess our sins,

He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins

and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness

In Jesus name I pray

 

Almighty Father, please forgive us of all the iniquity

in our hearts because we want you to hear

and answer our prayers 

because your word says in

Psalm 66:18

If I regard iniquity in my heart,

The Lord will not hear

In Jesus name I pray

 

 Requests

Almighty Father,

Please give us the strength to have love, patience

and understanding with others 

and the ability to forgive them when they hurt us 

Because that’s what your words says we must do in

Colossians 3:13 (New King James Version)

bearing with one another, and forgiving one another,

if anyone has a complaint against another;

even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do

In Jesus name I pray

 

Almighty Father,

I come before your throne requesting

that you forgive us of our sins

and please give us the strength

and the will to forgive those

who have sinned against us,

because you said that if we want you

to forgive us our sins

then we need to forgive others

who have sinned against us

As your word says in

Matthew 6:12 (New Living Translation)

12. And forgive us our sins,

As we forgive those

who have sinned against us

In Jesus name I pray

 

Almighty Father, please forgive me

and others who truly believe they benefit from hurting

and trespassing against others.

Forgive us the same way Jesus asked you to forgive

those who crucified him in 

Luke 23:34 Jesus kept saying, “Father, forgive them,

because they don’t know what they’re doing.

Then they divided his clothes among them by throwing dice.

In Jesus name I pray

Almighty Father, I come before your throne to forgive

and to pray for those who have hurt us.

Please forgive us because we are often quick to condemn

and judge others when you instructed us that we should forgive,

if we want you to forgive us of our sins

As your word says in  

Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.

Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned.

Forgive, and you will be forgiven

In Jesus name I pray

Almighty Father, please help us to not be filled with bitterness,

rage, anger and slander.

Help us to be compassionate to one another

and be willing to forgive each other as your word says in

Ephesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger,

brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

32 Be kind and compassionate to one another,

forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you

In Jesus name I pray

Almighty Father, please give us the will to forgive others

who have sinned against us because we have also sinned

against others and you words says in 

Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you,

your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

15 But if you do not forgive others their sins,

your Father will not forgive your sins.

In Jesus name I pray

Almighty Father, I am here to confess that we are all sinners

and I am asking you to please have mercy on us

so that we can prosper because your word says in

Proverbs 28:13 Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper,

but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

Almighty Father, please help us to be like you so that we can forgive others the same way how you have forgiven us

In Jesus name I pray

Almighty Father, please reveal to us how we can become righteous

in your eyes so that our prayers asking for strength to forgive others

can be powerful and effective because your word says in

James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other

and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective

In Jesus name I pray

Almighty Father, please give us the strength to forgive our brothers

and sisters no matter how many times they trespass against us

because your word says in Matthew 18:21-22 Then Peter came to Jesus

and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister

who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times

In Jesus name I pray

Almighty Father, please help us to forgive and forget the trespasses

of our brothers and sisters the same way it is written in

Hebrews 10:17 - then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds

I will remember no more.

In Jesus name I pray

 9 - Almighty Father, your word says in

1 Thessalonians 5:18

In everything give thanks; 

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Prayer Point: Almighty Father, 

I give thanks to you in all circumstances 

because this is your will for me in Christ Jesus

10 - Almighty Father, your word says in

John 3:16 (NIV - New International Version)

16. For God so loved the world

that he gave his one and only Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish

but have eternal life.

Prayer Point: Almighty Father, 

I want to thank you for your never ending love.

You didn’t have to but I want to thank you

for sending your only son,

Jesus Christ, to save all who turn from their sinful ways

and accept him as their Lord and Savior

so that we don’t have to spend eternity

being tormented in hell
